Salvo Explosives & Chemicals Pvt.Ltd. manufactures EMULSION BOOSTER, a high energy emulsion booster. Emulsion Booster is water-in-oil based emulsion explosive, in which the oxidizers & fuel ingredients are in liquid form.

Emulsion booster has a near-ideal detonation characteristics & ability to perform in cold temperature. It is stable & can be stored for 6-12 months under recommended conditions.

Emulsion Booster is recommended for initiating booster-sensitive in the drill holes in all surface mines, quarries, civil construction & in underground metal mines in ring blasting, large hole stopping, vertical crater retreat (VCR) blasting applications. It has excellent water resistance & can be used in watery drill holes. The explosive is filled in specially designed cell having a cap-well for priming detonator & a cord tunnel for priming with detonating cord. Emulsion booster can be initiated with no. 6 strength detonator or detonating cord having an explosive core of 10 gm. However use of no 8 strength detonator is recommended for reliable initiation of the booster.

Emulsion booster is devoid of any self-explosive ingredients, & hence safe. It is relatively to less sensitive to accidental initiation due to impact, friction & exposure to high temperature, and hence safe to handle, transport, store & use.

Emulsion Booster is packed in corrugated fiber board cases. Marking on the case indicate manufacturers name, product name, booster weight, case no, date of manufacture, net weight & gross weight.
